Denise Katakis
Director, Human Resources

Denise Katakis has a multi-faceted background in the public, not-for-profit and corporate sectors that form her approach to human capital management. As BMC Group’s Director of Human Resources & Recruitment for the past two years, she has aligned performance measures with employee reward programs and is a valued consultative resource to the senior management team. Denise continues to spearhead programs that emphasize professional development and career path opportunities for employees at every level of the organization. She provides leadership in overall human resources planning and staffing strategies that are foundational to BMC Group’s excellent service delivery record.

Prior to joining the company Denise held director and associate director positions in the non-profit sector where she was involved in executive and operations management, staffing, project management, organizational development and strategic planning. She has also served as a corporate trainer in the manufacturing sector.

Denise earned her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and her M.A. from the University of Michigan. She possesses a certification in Human Resources Management from Cornell University and holds the nationally recognized Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation which is awarded by the Human Resources Certification Institute. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and PIHRA, its local Southern California Chapter.
