Julia joined BMC Group in 2005 with over 8 years of experience as an attorney specializing in complex litigation defense, and with over 2 years of experience in bankruptcy cases as an attorney representing debtors and post-confirmation estates in major Chapter 11 matters. Julia brings a wide range of experience in litigation and bankruptcy law with a variety of industries, including petrochemical companies, health care manufacturers and providers, construction companies, airlines and insurance companies.

Prior to joining BMC Group, Julia practiced as a litigator in Chicago with a variety of nationally prominent firms, focusing on complex litigation regarding toxic tort and product liability defense. She also worked with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the restructuring department on several major Chapter 11 cases, including United Airlines and Fleming Companies.

In her role as a Manager at BMC Group, Julia has lead and been a part of teams in a variety of cases, including, ATA Airlines, Leaseway Motorcar Transport, CEP Holdings, LLC and Home Products International, Inc. Most recently, Julia has opened BMC Group's Cleveland office and oversees client contact and business development in that region.

Julia earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism degree and a Modern Languages Degree in French from the Ohio University and her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois state and Federal courts. She is a current or past member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Turnaround Management Association, and the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) – Northeast Ohio Network.
